Lingual Orthodontics presents an excellent solution for the treatment of adult patients who don’t want to show their brackets.
Lingual brackets are bonded to the internal surfaces of the teeth, and they are invisible from the external surface of the mouth. They are as effective as traditional brackets although the treatment time is slightly longer.
The hygiene requirements are a little bit higher than for “external” brackets in order to avoid the food retention.
During the first days some difficulties can appear in pronunciation of certain words.
